Evaluate the complete experiment, not just the robot
H1 is most useful to assess as a physical research platform: the dimensions, inertia and development environment shape what an experiment can safely attempt. H1-2 needs its own assessment rather than inheriting H1’s performance claims.
For full-size humanoids, a test programme needs room for falls, controlled access and an agreed stop procedure. The purchasing decision should include the lab infrastructure and engineering effort needed to make the machine useful.

Where to evaluate it
Locomotion research
Assess repeatability on a defined surface before expanding terrain, speed or task complexity.
Whole-body control
Define the required interaction between balance, arm movement and the external environment.
Perception and autonomy
Separate sensor coverage from successful navigation. Ask how localisation, planning and recovery will be evaluated.
