What goes into the Australian landed cost?
Converted goods value + international freight + insurance + applicable duty + broker / processing costs + import GST + other import costs + local delivery.
Import GST uses the taxable importation value: customs value, duty and relevant international transport and insurance. It is not simply 10% of the sticker price. Duty depends on tariff classification and origin eligibility; zero duty is not assumed. Currency conversion for customs uses the applicable ABF rate, which can differ from a payment or indicative rate.
